A delicious example of the second most planted red grape in Italy and what it can offer in its home in Abruzzo. This beautiful Montepulciano, aged five months in large Slavonian oak barrels, offers a nose laden with bright cherries, red plums and ripe strawberries, with a beautiful violet tone running through. On the palate there are lashings of sweet ripe fruit: red cherries, juicy red plums, ripe strawberries, and wild raspberries. There is an extra layer of cinnamon, cloves, and balsamic notes. Toffee and nutty characters on the finish. It is soft, juicy, and ripe. A Lovely balance of intense fruit and freshness.
Pair it with roasted red meat and barbecue, porcini mushroom ravioli, pasta Bolognese or lasagne, cheddar, Parmigiano.
The wine will stay fresh for up to six weeks once opened.
