TORRI – ANNIVERSARIO 1967 MERLOT 13,5%

Sensory notes

Colour: Bright ruby red with violet reflections and a nice consistency;
Nose: intense and fine, with hints of blackberry, cherry, plum and violet;
Taste: dry on the palate, the perception is of delicate warmth supported by an energetic softness magnificently balanced with freshness and tannins well blended and assisted by a slight sapidity.
The olfactory sensations are reiterated in the flavours, coherent and balanced, with the addition of of humus and delicate herbaceous notes.

Harvest
Coming from an area particularly suited to winemaking and at an ideal altitude and with a magnificent temperature range, from vines over thirty years old, magnificently exposed and trained in Tendone and Guyot.
The Merlot is the fruit of a harvest in the first ten days of September, hand picked only, from an agriculture that is very attentive to the environment.

Vinification
Maceration takes place in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by a malolactic fermentation and a maturation of at least 3 months in cement tanks before being bottled in the total absence of oxygen.

How to pair our wine Merlot Torri
Serve it at 12°-14° possibly in a large glass and always uncork it a few minutes before serving so that it can open up well and express itself at its best.
Excellent for many occasions, it is the typical red wine that can be appreciated not only on cold winter days, but also in summer too.
It is perfect with aperitifs, appetizers, savoury food, vegetarian dishes, white and red meats and fresh and medium-aged cheeses.
Imagine crostini alla caprese, spaghetti cacio e pepe, a parmigiana di melanzane, sweet and sour chicken, veal with rucola or a soft cheese.
