Handcrafted crumbly Torrone (nougat) with hand-picked Piedmont’s hazelnuts, made according to the original Barbero family’s recipe which dates back from 1883.

Barbero uses fresh egg whites (which make the torrone crumbly), finest hand-picked Piedmont’s Hazelnuts and the best local “Millefiori” (thousand flowers) honey. After it has been steamed for seven hours, the torrone is handled with wood “paddles” and it is shaped by hand in proper beech moulds. The wood is still used because it is heat insulating and it allows the torrone to cool off in the moulds for the right time.
