Montepulciano is one of the most important Italian grapes and it is the hallmark red grape of Abruzzo in Central Italy. Montepulciano d`Abruzzo DOC appellation is undoubtedly its most famous incarnation.
This Montepulciano d`Abruzzo is packed in eco-friendly packaging and it is soft, fruity, and great for everyday enjoyment.
A lovely nose of blackberries, plums and cherry aromas lifted by notes of violets and balsamic. These aromas are carried through to the palate which is soft and elegant with pure fruit character and a fresh mineral finish.
It is a very versatile wine that goes well with roast meat, barbecue, sausages, tomato-based dishes , macaroni cheese, aubergine parmigiana, Grana Padano, Parmigiano. It is also the perfect partner for pizza.
The wine will stay fresh for up to six weeks once opened.
