Chardonnay, the world’s fifth most planted grape, has a strong historic foothold all along the Italian peninsula. Chardonnay was first planted in Abruzzo in the early 1900s and it has continued to rise in popularity .
Torri Cantine Chardonnay is easy-going with a crispy floral and fruity nose with aromas of acacia, peach, apple, citrus and tropical fruits. The palate is fruit-driven soft with a creamy texture and a touch of mineral and sapid note on the finish.
The wine has a clean and fresh taste that is well suited to a wide range of dishes: grilled fish, fish pie, shellfish and prawns, pasta, or risotto with vegetables or in a creamy sauce, Sunday’s roast chicken, ham or cheese-based salads.
The wine will stay fresh for up to six weeks once opened.
