“Cerasuolo” means cherry-coloured, and its deep-cherry hue sets this wine apart from other rosés of the world. The Cerasuolo is the rosé wine of Abruzzo made exclusively from the red Montepulciano grape. It’s Italy’s cherry-coloured alternative to lightly coloured rosé, a great option if you are looking for a rosé to take you through the cooler months.
Deep cherry pink colour with a fragrant nose of ripe Morello cherries, hints of raspberry and redcurrant. The palate is lush and vibrant in acidity, dazzling in lovely red-berry fruit aromas. A complex bright mineral finish.
This wine is a clear case for drinking rosato all year long. A versatile wine and a great companion for food. It is good as an aperitif, with cold meats, vegetarian dishes, pasta, seafood and grilled fish.
The wine will stay fresh for up to six weeks once opened.

Sensory notes
Colour: A beautiful intense cherry pink, distinguished by an engaging brightness.
Nose: The nose evokes the flesh of ripe cherries, hints of raspberry and currant.
Taste: On the palate it is dry, moderately warm and soft in perfect harmony with a nice freshness and a persistent minerality.
Harvest
Born in one of the most suitable areas of Abruzzo, from an old vineyard trained to Tendone, at an ideal altitude to ensure a formidable temperature range and with a magnificent exposure.
A Cerasuolo obtained from hand picked grapes only harvested in the first ten days of September, of a certified organic agriculture, which ensures maximum respect for the surrounding environment.
Vinification
A white vinification, carried out in thermo-conditioned steel vats, and after the necessary rest on the skins, follows a refinement of 3 months in cement vats, then proceeding to the filling of the bag in total absence of oxygen.
How to pair our Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC wine in Bag in Box
We can pair an infinite number of dishes with this wine, all we have to do is choose them, it just has to be served fairly cold, at a temperature of 8°-10° at the most.
Excellent with aperitifs, starters, first or second courses, vegetarian dishes, think of seafood risotto, tortelli with broccoletti, veal straccetti with mushrooms, but also a semi-mature provolone cheese.
