The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG Riserva of the Turan Line – produced by Torri Cantine – originates between Colonnella and Controguerra, in the province of Teramo, in a magnificent vineyard over 50 years grown with a canopy system at an altitude of 290 meters with a perfect south / south-east exposure.

It is produced with 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes obtained from a strict hand picked / manual harvest, during the end of october.

Fermented in thermoconditioned steel tanks, following a malolactic fermentation and a subsequent maturation of 6 months in the concrete tanks.

Proceeding aging of not less than 30 months in large barrels, before starting a further 8 months aging in the bottle, without oxygen.

Let’s taste it

Typical impenetrable ruby red colour, with slight brick coloured reflex on the edge, which introduces vigorous floral notes and fruit jam with a suitable toasted naunce.

A warm and soft taste from ripe blackberry, spices, black pepper, liquorice, coffee, cocoa with balanced freshness and pleasant tannins.

A long and persistent finish with delicate tobacco notes.

it is a very good wine to drink at 16-18 °c but also a little more and only after waiting a few minutes from opening, before serving it and possibly with a large wide glass.

it is a perfect wine, whether enojed in moments of contemplation and in company. Absolutely appropriate with structured and tasty dishes but also with aperitifs or starters, red meat, vegetarian dishes and short and long seasoning cheese. Let’s imagine a carpaccio with grated parmesan flakes, maltagliati pasta with a a ragú meta sauce, fillet in crust, or pepper grilled seasonal vegetables or with semi-seasoned or seasoned cheese.
